About
Felicity
I’m Felicity, a Psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). I hold a Master of Clinical Psychology and am completing my endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist.
My approach to therapy is strengths-based, collaborative, and person-centred. I work closely with each client to develop a deep understanding of their unique experiences, providing tailored, evidence-based treatment that supports healing, growth, and lasting change. I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges.
I have a special interest in trauma-informed care and attachment-focused therapy, and I am committed to ongoing learning in these areas to best support my clients’ recovery journeys. I work with adults experiencing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety and mood disorders, sleep difficulties, stress, relationship challenges, identity and sexuality exploration, and life transitions.
My clinical experience spans private practice, community settings, and both inpatient and outpatient hospital services. I draw on evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment-informed approaches, and mindfulness-based techniques.
At the heart of my work is a belief in each person’s resilience and capacity for meaningful change.

FAQs
-
Online therapy can be just as effective as face-to-face sessions— and for some, even more beneficial. For individuals experiencing low mood, stress or anxiety, virtual psychology sessions can reduce barriers and make it easier to begin and maintain support.
Online therapy may be particularly helpful if you:
find it difficult to attend a clinic due to transport, mobility, or accessibility issues
live in an area without access to specialised anxiety treatment
have a busy schedule or long commute that limits your availability
are a new or expectant parent managing the demands of daily life
experience high levels of anxiety that make in-person sessions overwhelming, especially in the early stages of treatment
We provide secure, confidential online therapy sessions to make psychological support accessible no matter where you are. Our telehealth services offer the same high-quality, evidence-based care as in-person sessions, with the flexibility to fit around your lifestyle and commitments.
Using a person-centred approach, we ensure that your therapy is tailored to your individual needs, whether you’re at home, at work, or on the go. All online sessions are delivered via encrypted, user-friendly platforms to protect your privacy and comfort.
-
In your first appointment, your psychologist will take the time to get to know you, your goals, and what has brought you to therapy. Together, you’ll explore your current challenges, and you’ll have the chance to ask questions about the process. The first session is also about making sure you feel comfortable and supported. From there, we’ll begin developing a plan tailored to your needs.
-
Telehealth is not ideal for those who are actively suicidal, experiencing suicidal ideation, or are practising self-harming behaviours. Additionally, clients who have manic illness or psychosis, and/or have been under involuntary orders in the past month, are not suitable for online therapy.
Online sessions can be a flexible and effective option, there are some considerations to be aware of:
Confidentiality: Online therapy follows the same strict privacy standards as in-person sessions, though electronic communication may bring additional considerations. These will be discussed with you before starting.
Communication: Without face-to-face cues, there is a small risk of misunderstandings. Your psychologist will agree on clear guidelines around email, SMS, and session communication to minimise this.
Technology: A reliable internet connection and up-to-date software are important to keep sessions running smoothly. Poor connectivity can affect your experience.
Consent: All online clients complete an e-consent form, which outlines these considerations. Your psychologist will review this with you in your first session.

We believe in affordable healthcare; as a result, Light Psychology have set our standard fees to $230, which is well below the Australian Association of Psychologist Inc recommended fees guide (2025 - 2026) which set the standard consultation fee at $330.00.
